No, times have changed, language has changed, a pinched bum is now a crime, then it was just annoying. Yes, memories tend to be enhanced and inflated by time. And yes, they also grow in order to gain cash, sympathy or attention.
Did we really need all this expenditure? Wait until police resources and CPS costs, court bills, compensation etc are factored in.
