Just found this site and message board. I had a record shop in the 90s (remember them?) and loved Tip Sheet!! Happy memories. I Still have lots of the CDs (remember them?) and looked forward to every edition. Where the hell do people get their tips from now? The net is awash with so much stuff and no one seems to have cornered the market in real tips for tomorrow's biggies.
There must be somewhere. I don't see any on this message board. Anyone point me in the right direction ? Or do i have to trawl through vevo, itunes, Utube and never ending online music mags.
On the other hand, even more annoying is hearing a piece of music, going to buy it and finding its not available to download for another few weeks. That's something I don't miss about the old days. If i hear it i want it and ill be buggered if ill wait until a record complaint says i can have it, especially if its available, in another country. There's always some way of capturing it in a decent enough quality or downloading it from somewhere else.
Why do people pre order on a download?. It's not as if they are gonna sell out?
Rant over
Thanks Jonathan.
Brought back some happy memories here today. As i write this im flicking through some of my old JK records and I'm looking at a 12" cover of one of your old hits, your standing next to a topless women ala Page three.
Name that single anyone ?
