TOPIC: Manics
#102352
Manics 11 Years, 9 Months ago
Came across really well on BBC Brekkie and reminded me of Rob Stringer, in the early days, before they broke. The ONLY thing that mattered to Rob (before he met Julia; he was a very young A&R person) was the Manics.

That's the kind of passion and caring - I wonder whether it still exists in our industry.

I know I'm a bit late, but I understood Rob and Julia were childhood friends when she was Julia Smith. She turned to Rob after the Will Carling affair. (Though I never understood why she retained her married name after she split from Carling).

Julia Smith worked for me on The Brits in 1990! Sweet girl and very good (was actually working for Bernie Doherty who ran our PR). I like Rob too; and Howard, a real gentleman.
