My dear friend and one of the best radio DJ's ever, Roger Scott, would have been 70 today had he not been taken so early. Anyone else remember his fine Capital Radio shows?

Yesh, they were shpecial. Good old Roger. Wasn't he with John and Yoko in Toronto? Anyway, a great voice from the old days, and compilation LP advertised on TV seemed right unless it had Roger's voiceover on it.

We went to Springsteen concerts together - the greatest ever, at the New Jersey Meadowlands, where 60,000 all stood and sang along with every word of every song of the Boss' 4 hour set!

Roger never worked in Toronto. He was on-air briefly at WPTR in 1966 and then, on-air at 1470 CFOX in Montreal from 1967 to 1971 before returning to the UK.

He and colleague Charles P. Rodney Chandler were bedside on CFOX as exclusive daily broadcasters during the John & Yoko Montreal Bed-In for Peace in May/June 1969. Just FYI

Cheers,

MARC DENIS
