Excellent compilation JK hearing on Spotify, how long was you in charge of UK Records, I knew your brother was in it as well, did you cover I'm a Astronaut ?

What an amazing snapshot of an era that is! Quite amazing. Ideal for parties, but irresistably dip-in-able, too. So many intriguing little performances there, such as Tina Harvey's 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart' - the kind of thing that would get far more critical comments if it was on an Apple compilation, which it sounds like it could have been! And then there's Nolly Gordon - scarily hilarious! Great fun!

Thank you Pru; yes, I think it's quite an extraordinary collection, not just because it means a lot personally but it is fabulous as a 4 hour session (I heard it that way when checking it after Steve Levine had remastered and balanced it all up). And it really does present the 60s and 70s in an interesting and not obvious way. Of course Beatles, Stones and the others were the real superstars but this examines many less familiar yet equally entertaining sounds.

Carl Malcolm's Fattie Bum Bum is the music on the Paddy Power TV campaign this season so he's made a video (nearly 40 years after we first had a hit with it)...

The good news is, BH, we get paid £11.99 for it - it's an Amazon loss leader; they do it on things they think will sell well and bring them business.

Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

Kim Wilde on BBC Brekkie - funnily enough, as her brother Ricky's I Am An Astronaut is one of the most loved tracks on the CD. He now looks like Peter Gabriel; she looks like her Mum Joyce.
