I really don't think betting on the Christmas No1 is a fair fight these days. The bookies have all the advantage because they pretty much know who is going to release what and when. With the X Factor winner always likely to outpoint anything else anyway (unless there is a similar 'Rage Against The Machine' revolt) then taking bets on any other record for them is essentially money for old rope.
