TOPIC: Favourite Christmas Hit

Favourite Christmas Hit 11 Years, 5 Months ago
My favourite Christmas song is "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses. Its Catchy, seasonal and yet still edgy and cool. Also I don't think I have ever seen a single clip of them playing the song, I just have to make do with radio airplay.

Most people's favourite seems to be "Fairy Tale of New York", which I like, but Shane MacGowan's slurred vocal does grate after a while.

Yes Fairy Tale is my fave too; also Greg Lake and that terrific Chris de Burgh Spaceman and - believe it or not, the wonderful Mariah Carey song.

There needs to be a Louise Armstrong revival sometime soon so why not start with some of his classic Christmas songs - Genius.

If you are bored with the same "old favourites" being played every year then try these.

I really like this, wish they'd add it to the regular Christmas play-list, it's got everything!

Funnily enough Anneka Rice just played the Darkness Xmas track; it was very good. Whatever happened to that strange Justin who was a great white hope in music for a few days?

They were quite good fun, probably hyped up as major talent too early, too much expectation and pressure on them caused them implode without having time to grow organically.

I believe they reformed and toured last year.
