This is rather sweet... 11 Years, 5 Months ago
Hi Jonathan,
I doubt that you will remember this...but I wrote to you in 2006 to tell you
about our 30 year school reunion. I had been asked to run the disco, and I had
written to tell you about an incident that happened at our school when, at the
beginning of school assembly, instead of entering the enormous hall to the sound
of the normal stirring classical music, our very austere and strict head teacher
marched in, gown-flowing, to the strains of "What's he like Mavis? He's a real
tasty geezer......etc"
The whole school erupted with laughter...and the story has been passed down
through the generations....it was even mentioned on local radio quite recently.

Well....you very kindly sent me some Johnny Reggae sheet music back in 2006 to
present to the Head Teacher, who, although retired had agreed to attend the
Reunion....unfortunately he was taken ill that week and was unable to
attend....so I presented the sheet music to the lad who actually got conned into
playing the tune instead of the classical stuff.......BUT.....we are having a
whole school Reunion in March 2014....and our head, Mr Ellis (although well into
his 80s) has agreed to attend as guest of honour.

I hope you don't think I'm being cheeky....but Jonathan do you have another copy
of that sheet music (or anything Johnny Reggae-related) that you might be able
to let have that would be suitable to present to the old boy?? I'd be very happy
to cover the cost of any postage etc and I just know that it will be the
highlight of the evening when he gets up to make a speech (which he most
certainly will) if I could present him with a memento....before cueing "Johnny
Reggae" one last time for him......

Thanks so much for reading this....sorry I've gone on a bit....
