I always thought the words "squeaky clean" applied. Still, as I remember, touring and being a star makes people resort to drugs... and sex. It's the boredom. Strangely no, I never did (or a cigarette - though I once ate a packet. I suspect that was one reason I never smoked). I simply felt drugs were not for me. Cynthia Lennon, Jane Asher and I used to sit in clubs drinking milk or fruit juice, wondering what on earth all our friends were on.
