Nice comment regarding our Angelettes track 11 Years, 4 Months ago
On You Tube - we used the track as by The Sirens in Me Me Me
Came here having heard the original hit single aired this week on Sunshine Gold Radio.
The song has been playing constantly ever since.
It wasn't remembered here despite plays on Radio Northsea International at the time.
Everything about the record is unusual; the deep bass sound, the cello intro, the original schoolgirl line-up, the BBC ban after their only ill fated UK TotP appearance, the simple 'good advice' lyric by Jonathan King, the swinging dance tempo constantly interrupted by slow verse or bridge and the super thumping piano backing, worthy of any Dean Martin track.
The mesmerising lip-synch and movements by the Sirens adds to the mystique.
Will the 1972 TotP silent performance ever resurface?
