Bad sound balance on Arctic Monkeys - no middle.
Why start with a song we don't know (or am I just out of touch?).
I've always said - the first sign of a bad producer is when they change the award (or logo or label name or whatever). It shows they aren't thinking about the key ingredient - is it entertaining?
The tired old format does not work. Why employ people who are good at something (music) and make them talk (which Prince cannot do)?

Katy Perry? Well it's the old TV game; visuals important in the hall, sound on TV doesn't matter (wrong, in my opinion)... make the show for viewers at home, not those at the O2.
Corden (who I like) is awful this year; One Direction were pretty boys booked to look pretty; clearly they were NOT booked for their conversational skills so... make 'em talk!

Bruno Mars - first decent performance and song in the show - 35 mins in. I may give up, Outnumbered beckons.
But less MJ and more Mars please Bruno.
The best album snippets feature... lots of talk and virtually no music. Is "we trashed the studio" more interesting than hearing the music? Sometimes I despair: I really do.
Significant - Corden says "if you don't know Sam Smith's song, listen to it after the show because you won't hear any music in this show; The Brits are a TV show full of silly talk and unfunny speeches" (Arctics not famous for their dry Northern wit).
I hear more music on Radio Four.
I take it all back. One Direction are witty, intelligent, funny, gracious... Right I'm off to Outnumbered. Bye Bye Brits.

Corden should be given the shunt (and not by in a Gr*mshaw manner). Surprised Corden was brought back after the Adele debacle, when he should have used his brains, in 2012.
