As this is coming out independently next week, it is best that I set the record straight from day one on this one.
This lovely old gent kept asking us to produce him, and we could not find anything we wanted to record, but on hunting through his tapes we found this very eccentric song and agreed to record it.
We originally intended this as the "B" side, as it were, but it sounds very lovely and fun with this mix.
I did inform him that I would not record this song if I felt it was a mickey take and I was assured it was not.
I do hope you all like it Tipsters, and if you do not , love it by hating it!

don't know whether it's the change in season or Kev's mix or the pleasant lunch I've just had but I like it now!If JK thinks it's my mix it must be something special Martin!
Actually I hosted it for MK as he'd run out of sites to plonk it on.
My views are that it works well as a Christmas mix. For some reason novelty records work better at that time of year (it is a novelty song, right?
!). A good humoured video and a spell on YouTube would do no harm. I think Radio 2 would go for it as well.

I got the Julia thing from some book
Although I have just ordered the King of Hits box-set from CD 101 - you smooth talkin' salesman you - and will listen to your 1984 song. Could only find a short clip for nowt on the interweb
Will I learn how to write hits listening to the box-set?
How many times should I listen to the whole 8 CDs back-to-back?
Should I expect a visit from the Tabloids?
Oh life, it's so full of questions.

That 90 seconds is a strange mixture of Musical (Capital M)and strange German Rock/Pop - I think I like it.
My CDs should be with me in a few days or so. I am feeling a bit apprehensive in that I'm not quite sure what I've bought.
Or indeed why.
I'm going to have 8 CDs of Jonathan King's songs... have I slipped into some parallel universe?
