And another great favourite of mine Different Drum by the Stone Poneys (written by Mike Nesmith before he became a MONKEE and sung by Linda Ronstadt).

You and I travel to the beat of a different drum... can't you see by the way I run... every time you make eyes at me?....I've mentioned this fabulous song before (many times) - it's still never been a UK hit!

Different Drum, loved it for years. A naive melody and arrangement but an excellent rendition by Stone Poneys featuring Linda Ronstadt who was very fanciable in those days, and through the 70's/early 80's too.

Scott Walker has a voice that should be heard. Unfortunately, he continues to deprive his audience - the people that bought and own millions of his recordings - of hearing it in the way they really are entitled too.

If he is reading this (which he probably is). Wake up son, stop being feeble and get out and perform instead of creating 'arty' inaccessible music and cycling round London looking like the The Fly II.

According to some online reports Scott Walker is releasing an album in the autumn called 'Sloshed' or 'Soused' or similar, recorded with American drone metal band Sun O))).

Hopefully it will be more accessible than his 2 solo outings from the past ten years.
