BBC Music Awards 10 Years, 12 Months ago
BBC have announced an annual Music Awards. JK, room for them to include Record of the Year?

The BBC Music Awards, celebrating the year's best popular music, has been launched by the corporation as part of a wide-ranging musical strategy.

The awards will be the BBC's biggest musical event after Glastonbury, uniting BBC One, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 ahead of a live show with Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton.

The event will be held on 11 December at London's Earls Court.

Prizes will include British artist of the year and song of the year.

A panel of BBC presenters and producers will determine the best British artist and international artist awards, with viewers and listeners choosing the winning song of the year.

The awards will also feature a host of performances to review the year, as well as collaborations between well-known artists and the BBC Orchestra.

BBC Radios 1 and 2 and The One Show will offer behind the scenes access to the award ceremony.

I'm sure they will have a Record of the Year Dixie - what JK does first, the rest of the world does 15 years later (less well).

I'd plump for Clean Bandit to win with Rather Be (see other thread) unless something great comes along. Where is it in sales of 2014 so far?

Up to 960k. Behind Happy, which has done 1.2 million so far this year.

I thought they were about to knock down the Earls Court exhibition centre?

Perhaps they will demolish it live on TV on December 11th?

Don't tell anyone but, having liked it to start with, I now find Happy intensely annoying.
