Just had an argument with a friend who claims Entertainment USA came prior to the radio 1 show A King In New York. I argued that ETUSA derived from AKINY. Could you please settle this. I may be wrong. I do recall AKINY which was broadcast usually just before Adrian Juste on a Saturday afternoon if I'm correct.
You're right FC; when I went to New York to live and work there (and write a novel) I took on two radio weekly slots - on R1 (A King In New York) and on R4 Midweek (A Postcard from America - a sort of younger version of the great Alistair Cooke). Then we started doing the American Chart slots on Top of the Pops (once a month) - out of which grew Ent USA. At the same time I did a daily radio show 10-12 on WMCA in New York.
