I'll always treasure his "Dodger" performance in OLIVER.
He was a bright young star.
He made some mistakes in life.
Recognised them.
Paid a high price for them.
Died prematurely because of them,
But he left us some precious memories.

Jack had a talking flute. I was introduced to it on Saturday mornings when I was staying with an Aunt many many years ago. Not so long ago I bought the video. The entire series is now on DVD so I think that's on my shopping list.
I think Jack also hosted Junior Showtime, but I wasn't a regular viewer so can't be sure.
