GRAMMYs 10 Years, 4 Months ago
Same day as BAFTAs - not sensible. But I really don't know who will win what and, thanks to this Century's executives, it doesn't really matter as few people care.

Well done Clean Bandit though it really should have been Record of the Year, not just Dance Hit. Well done Sam Smith who I thought was definitely the music star of the year, better than Ed Sheeran, who is still pretty good. Personally I think it was one of the best years for music in ages.

The Grammys was a great show. The acts were terrific - McCartney/Kanye/Rihanna were excellent, as was Jeff Lynn.

Great work from Paul, dragging Rihanna away from that ghastly techno pap that she usually relies on. You'd think the UK would be so proud of this man, who always acts with such unexpected grace considering his incredible fame, but no: after a standing ovation for this latest collaboration, in his 70s, what are the UK headlines about him? He clapped and danced during an ELO performance when not many others did. Ha ha. How hilarious. Quite an attitude. Elton behaves abysmally on a daily basis and only gets pics of his purchased sons alongside preening articles. Beggars belief. Maybe we should exchange him for Bono or someone who suits the media-driven puffery for divas.

How did you see The Grammys? One of my complaints (when producing The Brits) was the lack of mainstream global coverage of the show. I linked up with MTV (showing the Great British Music concerts) and would have spread much further (ABC were poised to carry the entire Brits) but resigned after problems (read all about it in my books). I have no idea where or when I can see (and hear) The Grammys and I suspect, in a few weeks, the same will be for The Brits outside the UK.

I usually do it via a live stream, JK, like this one:

Sia performed her hit Chandelier

uk.screen.yahoo.com/trending-music-video...mys-2015-171225011.h

featuring 12 year old dancer Maggie Ziegler in a flesh coloured leotard. Can you imagine that on the Brits in the light of operation yewtree.

Interesting how unpopular Sam Smith is amongst industry executives. They really do dislike him and his songs. Despite their success with the public.
