I think Marc should stick to synth pop - it's definitely the style he's best suited to; Tainted Love, Say Hello Wave Good Bye, Bed Sitter. That was a classic and memorable period in pop, which I guess evolved out of Kraut Rock. Of course we also had Garry Numan and OMD on the scene back then. Those hits remind of school discos and TOTP, much like the Beatles marked an era for my parents' generation.
