I'm loving the new Jess Glynne single 'Hold My Hand' currently at #1. Another brilliant production by Clean Bandit's Jack Patterson of a song which he also co-wrote.

Funnily enough on one listen I felt it was a bit Rather Be lite. I must listen again.

Similar production but not too similar IMO, more of a trademark sound. Great song, great production.. a worthy #1. Jess is a great vocalist too, I should also add.

Notably for me the songs have a similar structure, what I call a 'double chorus' (and might be what you're referring to JK?).

This one has the, "Hold my hand...." section which sounds like the chorus and then, "I'm ready for this...." which lifts it unexpectedly but quite pleasingly to another chorus.

"Rather Be" has the, "If you gave me a chance..." section followed by, "No no no..." section, again a unexpected but pleasing lift.

I'm presuming that is a Jack Patterson trait being that he is the only writer credited on both these songs.
