It's what Shazam are now able to do with the data collected through their app. Very insightful video and interesting analysis, the spike in O.T. Genasis’ ‘Coco’ track just goes to show there's more to a hook than a strong melody.

Hype is still a massive factor but it's good to see people are voting with their ears and the industry is taking note.

Shazam was recently valued at over $1 billion.
