Best music made by... 10 Years ago  
I'm becoming convinced by the theory that the best music is made by persecuted minorities. Blacks originally (slaves/gospel); then Jews and Gays (the great Broadway and NYC smashes). Russians (under the foot of the Tsars) had the best melodies.

Western music is no longer interesting - no persecution going on except for paedos and terrorists, this generation's monsters. Will they make great music?

You ignore class, which cuts across all of those categories. Most of the best music comes from the working class.
