Brilliant though Simon may be, it's ears Eurovision needs, not marketing.

The Eurovision song contest and UK "chart music" went down different paths many years ago, what works in the UK charts won't necessarily work for Eurovision and vice-versa.

I may be wrong but I'd say Simon's expertise is in UK & US Pop so I wouldn't say he's the man for this job. What he needs is a panel of judges who know and understand Eurovision but even then, I'm not sure if the public will side with them.

Also, only a hundred percent sure? He's been a million percent sure about other stuff and been wrong about that, a measly 100% doesn't fill me with confidence
