Played to death by Radio One in 1977. Like so many Radio One playlisted songs it didnt trouble the UK Top Ten. Just missed out on a US Top 10 place.

He had many later hits as a writer.

Actually "Separate Lives" was nominated for an Academy Award but lost to "Say You, Say Me" written by Lionel Richie.

Stephen Bishop. Takes me back to the lovely summers in the 70s when Capital Radio was such a clever broadcaster, always great at 'summer' playlists. Andrew Gold was another regular, as was James Taylor. Bishop wrote some nice songs, never seemed to take himself too seriously, either. Is he still recording? It's sad how you never hear of so many talented older musicians unless you pay about the price of a paperback every month for a music magazine!
