"If Only the Pope Had Wings", has just been taken on by a rather brilliant PR company, this is perfect timing for me, as I am very busy from next week.
There are no physical copies left here and it will be download only for a while.
One would think this is a victory, but it has actually caused us a bit of a panic as a true indie who are not at the highest pecking order of pressing plants this time of year.

Climbing up to the No 2 spot is... Rob Harding.

At No 5 and No 9 are another Crimbo challenge from Kids 4 Kids and Pepper's Ghost.

Can Rob make the No 1 spot and stay there?

All going according to plan, he should have regional airplay from this week which will help, and I`ve noticed that the Myspace page is now starting to make tracks as well.
The main competitor for me has to be Fluff in the Fab chart, Rob called me yesterday and was delighted to be in a chart alongside him, and you know what? I rather think Mr Freeman would have liked it too.
We played Christmas songs all yesterday evening and "Stop the Cavalry" came out as the most timeless track for me, and I`d like to think that "Pope" is as timeless a recording.
A certain "wadio 2" "pwesenter", is a neighbour of Mr Hardings, and his yet to notice him, which does have it`s irony in the promoting of the song

What is this fab chart? Is it something that some kiddie has invented in his bedroom?

I have no idea MM, I sent the track through when I first heard of them and I assumed it was ignored, then they e-mailed me asking for an MP3 of the Xmas mix for inclusion.
I know of nothing else except that it has helped promotion for us.

these days that's as good a way to have a chart as any other!
I put enthusiasm above statistics any day.

then he/she is doing a fairly good job. The chart is a fun way to discover new music, plus if it is helping with promotion then it is also having some impact within the industry.

And so .. if I may make so bold as to quote Mr Charles Dickens at this festive time of the year .. "though it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket, I believe it has done me good, and will do me good, and I say God bless it!"

I see the Fab Chart has a FAQ page now. They don't give away many secrets though.

I did think about asking Al, but I preferred the mystery.
