if Lionel Ritchie's performance of Dancing on the Ceiling is anything to go by; it sounded absolutely marvelous.

I would have thought that the electric and wonderful performance (on radio anyway; I was tuned to Radio Two) would have sent this track back to the top of the charts. But what do I know?

Just goes to show - radio and TV doesn't sell music anymore. Ten years ago it would have been No1.

I think TV and Radio DO still sell music. It's likely that Lionel Richie will have the No.1 album this weekend, and Florence No. 2. The Who will be up there somewhere and a handful of Kanye West albums are back in the charts.

In the old days, volumes would suffer in hot weather as people avoid the high street, but I suspect downloading and streaming are not affected by the weather.
