Tony Blair To Release A Pro-Peace Song In The New Year

Tony Blair, has re-formed his old university group "Ugly Rumours" and is putting a track out on the 1st of January 2007 in a bid to become the highest charting British Prime Minister of all time.

He's teamed up with his friends at Stop The War Coalition to record a pro-peace song which is a very credible re-recording of Edwin Starrs Classic "War-What is it good for?"

The track aims to be the first number one of the New Year and also the first track ever to go to number one on downloads alone.

George Galloway will also appear in the video with 20p from the sale of the download going directly to the Stop The War Coalition. Its is hoped that all the people who went on the peace marches over recent years will show their support once again and buy the track for 0.79p in what will is being billed as a musical referendum on the Governments policies abroad.

The production team behind the track have utilized the latest technology from indiestore.com and placed the indie store flash player on several related sites including www.georgegalloway.com and at www.uglyrumours.com where you can hear the track before you buy it. This will enable customers to pre-orders the track exclusively throughout December before the track is available via other digital distributors in January.

It is not yet known how George W Bush will react to the news that his closest ally is releasing a pro-peace track, although it is thought safe to assume that the initial reaction will include the words "Yo Blair" and "What the f**c do you think you are doing!"

How sad 18 Years, 5 Months ago
Funny idea; crap version; not funny, not clever.... no interesting hooks or samples and an awful karaoke copy without an ounce of energy or originality...

Someone send the producers and performers to the front line!

Well this is the line between politics and music finally screwed up and thrown on the floor isn`t it?
Whilst I agree that everybody in all walks of life play and enjoy music, I would respect this idea IF it was a heart rendering self penned ballad entitled "Number 10".
Could have been worse though, it could have been "My Way".

You have a point KZ, there are so many Bush/Blair tracks on YouTube, there had just as well be some official ones.

I heard this on Talksport on George Galloways show.
There is also a very funny Xmas song on Talksport which could have been a Xmas no1 if it was released.
You can hear it on Jon Gaunt's show. With over 2 million listeners it has potential especially to give the government a wake up call.
