TOPIC: Interesting charts
#141112
Interesting charts 9 Years, 5 Months ago
It's interesting that the You Tube/Facebook phenomenon, social media, was poised to break new stars a few years ago and we used it to get Alex Day onto the Christmas chart in 2011 with his Forever Yours at No4 with no radio, TV or other support (plus no label, manager, PR person or promotions team). But essentially it has not been used again - as the music industry has essentially collapsed with only really great artistes emerging and selling despite the industry. Social media has instead been used to sell books. The BOOK CHART is crammed with social media people.

Justin's tweet yesterday managed to ensure the NHS Choir get the Christmas No.1.

He seems like a good lad, our Justin (tipped on here ages before the "industry" found him).

And sadly the very ordinary choir doing expected songs is the final nail in the Christmas No1 coffin. Oh dear; it used to be such fun!
