Weeellll... didn't fully this time though did before but I don't care
FitZpain myspace.com/fitzpain
Good solid coherent sound and thoroughly enjoyable stuff if a bit derivative.
Stronger than Koopa but still on the download starting blocks? Shame I think they have a better chance of hitting beyond the gimmick (Not to diss Koopa)

Cheers Zoo. We missed the starting blocks badly enough to only get sorted last night despite the story bounding into the papers last week, I was missing one signature on the paperwork of all the daft things.
We are a chaotic little outfit and we like it that way!
The most important thing is everyone has fun with the project at this moment.
The "derivativeness" is actually quite deliberate,on the recordings, I leave them to their own devices to experiment on a lot material I don`t see as commercial, and we work on the poppy ones, which didn`t please them too much at the time but they are happy with the results now.
It`s all about timing and Koopa did beat us on this, all credit to them, but I do believe we have produced music without a sell by date, which I allways try to do these days, after making what is now an unlistenable record myself in 1985!(I learnt via error!)
Spread the word, we have three hits in my opinion at least currently, and a pretty big following.
Ta for the post.

Are you planning to put out Fitz yourself?
It is a difficult time but also the field is opening up for smaller labels and the majors are slipping, it's a great time to be in the industry.
I had an Email saying that with the new rules any band can be a label, therefore why would they need me? IMO the answer is, I don't believe there's many out there who are excellent musicians, writers, engineers, producers, managers, publishers, pluggers, promoters etc. all at once, it's just not possible. I would expect a musician to concentrate on his music, not worry about meatings, phone calls and deals and I'm sure he would be happier that way. This is why all these jobs exist and will continue to exist, the new chart rules don't change this.

It`s difficult to say what I expect at the moment, and many thanks for your reply. We shifted the promo run at gigs and to interested parties, I think the way forward with the download situation being unsettled currently, is to get a publisher onboard to continue recording and make sure the stuff is out there.
We do release stuff ourselves, but in this case I would rather spend more time on the music than the promotion. Timing is all and in an ideal world, we will need this taken out of our hands to continue our quest, which is making records.
People know where we are, and I`m confident many are still dithering over our projects, particularly in the light of all the current shake ups.
It`s all exciting, I agree with you.
