This week's fabby Fab Chart 18 Years, 4 Months ago
The important news first Rob "I'll be back" Harding has slipped out the top 10 The sadness of leaving is tempered by the joy of arriving in the first place.

Straight in at No 3 is.... Silver Stoat by some bloke called Jonathan King Highest new entry (I think I heard JK saying "Of course!" so powerful is the thought)

The other new arrivals are: No 8 Invented - Onionsound another interesting track that's a hit in another universe. (Cool chorus) Almost JK does Jungle (I did say almost).

No 10 I Got You - Joe Brooks, nice mellow track with some good playing. Deserves to be in there.

Another week of eclectic interest with stuff that should go further if only the music scene was more open... but as with the Koopa example it's a better chance than it was.

Another cool set of songs from the mysterious Fab

Meanwhile, JK appears to maintain a dignified silence.

I see some idiot has already left a sick comment on the Fab Chart message board, but the chart peeps have defended JKs inclusion admirably.

I just saw in the FAB Chart guestbook that they have had an abusive poster. If it is true that the FAB Chart is the creation of a child on their bedroom computer, then it's a bigger shame that someone has decided to send them abuse. I didn't catch the posts so am not entirely sure what was written, but by FAB's response I'd guess it was quite serious. Maybe there's an angry father on the warpath now. It's a pity some people have to try to ruin everything that is good. Hopefully they were just passing through and won't return.

How can I put this?

Quite easy actually.

My kids did not need to read the abusive posts, it`s an eccentric music site and the posts were bang out of order.
"Fab" is a good airing, for new and different tunes, full stop.

The guest book has gone "Due to malicious misuse..."

The FAB Chart statement:

It must be clearly stated, since someone has publicly libelled the creator of this site, that nobody involved in the The FAB Chart has any connection with Jonathan King, nor any indepth information on his background as this is not what the FAB Chart is about. This is a site for music, and it reflects rather than dictates, the interest of music lovers in certain tracks on the internet.

It is a sad that, whatever their background or excuse, someone has used this site to try to promote their own campaign of hatred against another individual. This is not acceptable. Consequently, the guestbook has been removed in order to, firstly, protect the younger people who are involved in the researching and compiling of the chart, and secondly to protect the integrity and neutrality of this site.

Many thanks to those who have expressed support, and to the many visitors who continue to enjoy the music.
