Just goes to show that they read this board.
If they carry this out this would be the death of the mainstream TV who would not be able to compete with the revenue potential of the king Youtube or am i just dreaming.
Seriously this is a great thing and the timing couldnt be better just before my videos are finished and ready for uploading lol.

I am worried that they not have sorted out the correct revenue distribution to the correct recipients.
At no time in my career have I ever been more worried about payments being paid correctly as this new era begins.
On a lighter note, you can go and see any band, who can oversee the usual "yeh we are really big in Japan", and replace it with "yeh we have a really big deal with Youtube".

Frankly i dont care how they react they will have to put up with it. IF you want free music or free content you HAVE to put up with a few inconveniences. It's about time revenue should be shared. It's not really rocket science how to do it and even though Revver has not got the same amount of users as Youtube, they are still around and the quality of videos on there is much higher than Youtube.
Google Video is of course influencing Youtube here and Google should be congratulated for this as it will ensure that Google who do things reasonably well will dominate in the online advertising stakes.
TV should be really worried. The stats is quite staggering. More and more young people are turning off TV and watching content on the web.
Personally i think the writing is on the wall for intellectual property unfortunately as the trend is towards free rather than paid content.
Apple have actually and maybe unwittingly shown the model for the future.
Physical product that can't be copied, fueled by cheap and or free digital content. Let everyone sit up and take note. It is time to team up with some physical branded expensive product that will provide you with licensing opportunities. But i shall save that for my 'Death of music' thread.

I-Film often start with an advert break before the film.
This is very frustrating when you have diverted traffic to the clip. I sometimes wonder how many people have just watched the ad and clicked off.

Ive posted this link before on this site but this is a fantastic way the Australians are leading the way here. Usually they are miles behind when it comes to technology. But the ads are fast and of great quality and it doesnt distract.
Besides if you want people like industry people to watch your video thats what your website is for.
But for the masses let them consume ads. If they want quality content pay for it with your dollars or your sense (eyes) lol, otherwise we wont have any content and they have to put up with watching idiots falling over themselves on Youtube.
