UnEntitled from Cornwall
This lot are alright, considering they are 14 it's an exceptional start.
Not exactly hits here but certainly potential if they can find the right producer/mentor. I'd develop them if I could - somebody ought to
Good solid and unpretentious song writing. I think they could do rather well if they stick to it.
They say:
UnEntitled are a 3 (sometimes 4) piece, Indie rock band from Cornwall. They formed in August 2006 and with only two gigs under their belt, secured a place in the Revelations, Under 18, Battle of the Bands competition.

Judging by the audio rather than the video, they are better, for me, than the Arctic Monkeys, and have quite a together sound. Yes they are a bit loudish, but not overly, and they actually have reasonable melodies. Trouble is that such bands are ten a penny at present and they need the right encouragement, promotion, etc. to avoid being lost in the crowd.
I've known some young bands stay together for several years. Breakups can come from frustration with the industry, or from the emergence of artistic differences, but a few bands do make it.
They need to polish up their live act, but I wish these guys every success.

Hi everyone,
I run a small local promtions company in Cornwall and we are keeping a watchful eye on UnEntitled. They are as you say very young, but not noisy or overly punky. Some of there material is quite thoughtful, they recorded the more energetic tracks first as there live audince love them They are due to go into the studio this week to record two new tracks, maybe check them out see what you think.
They do need to polish their live act, but they have actually only done half a dozen gigs and we think they should mature naturally, nothing worse than a contrived band, They capture perfectly the mood of their peer group.
The driving force, songwriter and singer is Max and he has a bit of a musical pedigree, his uncle Myke Gray, was in a fairly successful metal band called Skin, who were mananged by Sanctuary for many years. So although he is very young he is extremely focused and knows exactly what he wants. We think for their age and lack of experience they are very promising indeed.

Just got an email from Max the singer thanking me for posting here and asked if there was any advice I may like to offer... good move
Having listened again I'm getting to quite like it, Granted it's not going to set us old grumblies a'fire but the audience on the video seem to be going for it. The tracks are better.
(The video is on a mobile phone - interesting considering recent post on not letting mobiles in to big band gigs)
If nothing else he's astute enough to follow up.

F.O.H - that sounds dangerously like DEVELOPING a band!!!!!
Sounds like a good idea - pity the Majors don't try it sometime.
May be worth tipping the band to the FAB Chart - although their email just returns a failure notice at the moment.
