"I Can" will be download-only single.

Interesting ... if it does well at Eurovision, could it be the first download-only single to top the charts?

My usual bet of 1p on..... 18 Years, 3 Months ago
...a special edition 7" vinyl version.
I wonder what mix of "I Can" they will use in the end?

I gather the team, well aware that interest in the track started right here, are paying great attention to our comments on the mixes and are taking them firmly on board.

Fingers crossed.

Gut seems a sensible home though Guy Holmes is incredibly slimy.

Those Eurovision fans obsessed with obtaining every CD single in the contest will be gutted, no pun intended.

Fair point Anthony and I hope Gut have the sensitivity to press up a few hundred CD's for the fans.

When I was running the UK end (remember - we won 10 years ago by the biggest ratio of points ever) I deliberately catered to the fans by putting out CD's of the Song For Europe finalists a) for them to collect and cherish b) to give them a chance to listen more than once & c) to attract fans into the shops (they were given out free in retail outlets).

But then I ran things in a rather different way.

I like Guy, he forgave me for dropping his Gibson 335 (don`t ask, I`ve told the story before), I still have nightmares about it.

I remember your free CDs. They were a great idea. I also remember one naughty independent retailer in Nottingham selling them for a quid!
