Watching the Sound of the Sixties on BBC4 18 Years, 3 Months ago

Dusty (brown haired) in The Springfields from 1960 with brother Tom on Bongos doing Wimoweh and TIM on guitar. Who was TIM? Pre Mike Hurst who went on to discover and produce Cat Stevens.

Is he still alive? When did Tom die?

Answers please!

I love this strange ten minute weekly show (compiled in the 90's so I crop up in it every now and then; Stalin had not yet taken editorial control).

Think he's still alive JK, he was at Dusty's funeral (Tom) and is ten years older than you but no longer in music. The guitarist was Tim Field (the "field" of the Springfields); no idea where he's gone though. Is Mike Hurst still producing?
