TOPIC: Sonicbids. Rate or slate?

Sonicbids. Rate or slate? 18 Years, 3 Months ago
Any industry opinions on www.sonicbids.com/ do you use it, will it help if my band uses it? Price wise at $50 pa for a one off subscription it doesn't seem too bad, but a band can keep submitting to numerous websites and it almost becomes a full time job to keep them all updated. I'd rather target a few worthwhile sites.

Thanks.

Sonicbids is extremely well done. I receive EPKs from bands on there, and it's very easy to use and give/receive feedback. They promote themselves by saying you get a chance to play at this or that festival. But it's the back-office aspect that I find most useful.

Sonicbids is good but totally unnecessary.

You are right there are far too many websites to be updated and it gets too much to manage them all.
In my honest opinion I think you only need the following:

1. Your own website (GOLD)
2. Myspace (Coz everyone is on it)
3. Gootube (You can link videos back to your site).
4. Your PR people.

That's all you need in this web 2.0 age.
