After going through the whole "cruelty to animals" thing myself, I`ve learnt that people simply have to face up to what they are eating.
Obviously the live killing of a lobster onstage is pretty strong for many people, it could have been worse, it could have been a cow.
If for example(and I`m sure this has happened) a celebrity chef did a thermidore onstage, there would be no outcry.
I worry a lot more about the anonymousness of a whole burger ( featuring gawd knows how many bits of different beasts) than seeing I have a whole creature in front of me.
Nobody mentioned whether the Sony SM58 was damaged in the performances, typical of animal rights people, they don`t care at all about soldering microphones and replacing pop shields!
It is of course untrue that the lobster complained at the soundcheck that he couldnt hear himself due to lack of foldback onstage and his in ear monitoring did not fit.
