'JoAnna Says' by Roxette lyricist Per Gessle.

Very good indeed!

Good point.

The only obvious reason is that the right people didn't get to hear it. You ought to tip it somewhere that the hip people go for tips... oh hang on... you have

I don`t know anyone in this thread who was asked to play his part in a tribute act to Roxette.

Except for maybe me.

Fear not, I never took the job!
Street cred bad, money good though, wig?.....Nah!

Hahaha Zooloo

Yes, I really like this track and thought it was worth a post on the Tipsheet.
Hopefully someone at EMI shall see that they are sitting on a hit......but then again they've been doing that for years!

I'd be flattered, personally. Maybe you're in the wrong street, Mart. Look for the one with the party.

Well I must admit Michael I did learn it all, before leaving that angle of the business, and I really enjoyed the songs.
However, and this is going to read unbelieveable:blush: ,the girl in the act was recalled by the agency to do Madonna instead.

Very funny and absolutely true.

"Per has an awful voice" Alexandra???

I can`t really respond to that can I?

Is anyone at EMI still alive, or are they still slowly slipping into their graves??

Come on EMI, open your EARS, with the recent success of Mika, you are sitting on a hit with Per's 'JoAnna Says'

It's a nice song but don't you think it's about 30 years late?

Had to come back to this. Such a great track.

Surely EMI are sitting on a big hit here. A very big 'POP' track.

Then again......that's no surprise.

No wonder the industry is on it's arse at the moment!!!

Ah my favourite pet thread.
EMI sitting on tracks again.
Whilst I realise A+R is a closed shop, is it not best to have a more public party to listen to the wares sometimes?
