FAB Chart review and the Cornish invasion. 18 Years, 2 Months ago
There at least four Cornish acts in the FAB Chart this week.

Unentitled remain at Number One.

Emily, from Boscastle, has a cool song entering at Number 7.

The Hitchcock Rules are at Number 8

Also from Cornwall are Chinatown at Number 17.

Cornwall seems to be offering some good musis at the moment.

Biggest news is perhaps that Eliot Corina has a new entry at 13 with "Hello Vicar" while his "Goodbye Tulip Drive" is still charting at 16. Apparently, he's the first artist to have two songs in the FAB Chart at the same time.

Tipsheet tip - "On Myspace" by Kamloops - enters at Number 18, and Chris Norman is at Number 20.

Eden ft Mart remains at Number 10, and the highest climber is Gentry Morris going up to Number 9.

A cool variety of songs yet again from the Fabbers.

There does seem to be some good stuff coming out of Cornwall - they do have their fair share of mediocre and festival type bands but there's also some very good acts too.

All Alone seems derivative of several things - I liked it more at first than the whole thing.

Good to see Kamloops in there, I can see why it appeals. Nice bit of humour.

Didn't like China Town much. Done well enough but not anything that grabbed me.

It seems just the other day I was speculating about the first to have two entries... hang on it was the other day . Not so fond of Eliot's Vicar but still a worthwhile entry. Certainly a band with potential.

Not sure about Emily. I think I don't like the song but like the idea.

Glad to see UnEntitled still there - I'm getting to like this song a lot. It's not just a one off either, they're consistently knocking out some good stuff. Nice fellows too.

Well I must say I am very impressed by the scene in Cornwall, after going through the links you supplied.

I really liked the Wire Daisies, Noel Prior, I liked anyway ,from a previous listen, I had no idea he was Cornish, I also went for Rosie and the Goldbug.

Cornwall is not the easiest place to get to from Dorset, but what has become apparent on this mornings listens, is the outlying regions in both the mentioned counties does amount to a very creative enviroment indeed.

"My Elvis Blackout", take the best band name of the year for me.
My previous fave band name, was Dorset`s "Farmer Geddon", I believe the NME gave them a similar accolade.

Good stuff, well linked.
