TOPIC: UK at its finest
#17257
UK at its finest 18 Years, 2 Months ago
JK commissioned this masterpiece - everything spot on perfect - orchestration, vocal - stage presence - JK MUST BE EMPLOYED TO SEND US A WINNER AGAIN. Makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck this does - truly superb

It speaks volumes how badly the UK have been doing in Eurovision since this last winner. Its gone back to the awfulness of the late 70s and the 80s with faceless acts singing songs completely out of step with the time and culture. This years entry... oh dear... One would think with Lordi's win last year that the UK would produce something a little harder hitting, but with JK absent, what can one expect?

To be honest, I would have expected something better than Scooch, even without JK's presence. Still, it does underline how desperately the BBC needs to get him back in charge, unless we wish to remain in the wilderness for ever.

And with the EBU likely to use two semi-finals next year in which the so called Big Four may well have to compete, unlike our current passport to the final, I can see the BBC pulling out of the contest, after our inevitable failure.
