This "huge seller" on iTunes reeks of hype to me.
The four MySpace tracks are very ordinary in that sweet, cutesey, Melanie, little girl hurt type style so beloved of some but not a hit amongst them to these ears.

And the reviews are full of "stumbled across" - always a good clue line for evidence of hype.

But... katewalsh.net has got content.

So why is there a website with nowt being offered when there is a website with content?

The domain with no content is registered by Melfern Productions in Brighton the one with content is kitchenware Management in Newcastle.

She certainly seems to gigging a lot. Can that alone equal iTune sales?

I agree JK, it doesn't grab me either.

fact is, there is a huge market for this style at the moment. I really do wonder about the relevance of the charts anymore since it strikes me that it's about the bottom line and sales no matter how long, within reason, that may take.

Hype? Maybe, but whatever it is, it's working.

I listened to your song and i really like it. Very soothing and relaxing and well done. I'm not a huge fan of acoustic music as it can get a tad too boring for my ears, but i like 'Your song'.

I guess if people are downloading the songs in increasing numbers then good luck to her. However i must say. Why oh Why put full tracks on Myspace ? Sorry, clips and links for me. If they like it enough to want to listen to it in full then let them pay for it or am i barking up a wrong tree ?

Anyway no more negativity for me after Utd's splendid win i'm in 7th heaven. And oh for those of you (you know who you are) who danced in the streets on saturday look at Ronaldo what a super star !
