Mike Oldfield's complete original Tubular Bells will be given away free in next week's Mail On Sunday.

It just shows how the business has slumped when the 11th best-selling UK album of all time has to be given away to sell a newspaper !

Major confession: I have owned three copies of "Tubular Bells" in my time. But I was an impressionable youngster at the time, guv'ner, honest.

Maybe I'll get out my CD copy and give it a spin again.

I often say that at weekends I buy dirt cheap CDs or DVDs that for some peculiar reason has these useless newspapers given away as "free gifts". I chuck the paper in the bin and enjoy the CD or DVD I bought...

I think I'll be giving Mike Oldfield a miss though. Wonder which version it will be? The newest remaster from 1st generation tapes or are Virgin desperate to offload the not remastered from 1st gen versions?
