I think that`s a brilliant approach.
Quite how much of it is actually true of course we will never know.

they were handing out USB sticks to certain fans at their last few live gigs i have no idea what was on them.

The issue of truth and after the event observations are pertinent.

I like the fact they've used their imagination but cryptic messages isn't something I would back.

Having said that one of the things they have grasped that is important for all those who read here is they understood the Internet is a user-driven medium.

I recognise their achievement but feel it's an established band (brand?) using hindsight.

the thing with Nine Inch Nails, is that when you are as good as they are live, and have sold as many records as they have, and have pionered a genre like he has, you can pretty much do things like this with impunity.

Theirs was the best live show of the past three years for me. A phenomenal and original band with massive tunes.

asking fans to promote the record and than suing the ones who put the "lost" songs on their blogs.
