What`s still been bugging us here this morning as we upload our offerings for June release dates, is will the things be out on time!

"Waiting" is scheduled for a June 16th release on all download sites, but it`s still not set in stone for me, we`ve hit I-tunes with other product six weeks after Napster.
Not good for a bulk weekly sale figure.
We had a thread earlier on about release dates so it`s hard to predict a seasonal hit at the moment obviously.
However I do predict a massive Beatles summer hit or two.

What I would like to get from a summer hit is nostalgia for the future.

I can name a few that spring to mind that sum up a summer hit for me.
"Feeling Hot Hot Hot","The Dean And I", "Schools Out","The Birdy Song", I could list forever on this.

On a nostalgia note, does the Stranglers' "Peaches" count as a summer hit? Probably not, what it was my gang's signature tune that summer.

I can't really offer future hit tips as I can't hear any out there for the moment.

What I think could be a hit ... IF these guys get the breaks and the right promotion, etc ... is a song called "What Can You Do" by Powerlight.

Currently unsigned, but that doesn't have to be a major handicap these days. The song has a certain something, and I could imagine people listening to it as they cruise along with the top down on a warm summer day.

Powerlight are indeed very good. I'd expect something a little more lightweight for a summer hit. But "What Can You Do" is a great track irrespective.

ah, yes, splendid. I see that the Glob. Yod. might have tempted you to slip into some sort of national costume and vigourously dance the night away.

They'll be doing it on the dancefloors, planes to the Med, in pubs, at parties and generally doing a fiendish routine wherever the mood takes them...I predict a riot! In fact, I feel a sudden urge to slide into something traditional and get the circulation going a bit. Mmmm, now let me see...
