A Jinder side project...an album of covers coming out in July.

I'd tip his versions of "Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)", "Stand By Me" and "Wonderwall". I'm not sold on Sweet Home Alabama, though.

Also I find it interesting to note that Jinder's manager Phil Dewhurst, who I've been speaking with via e-mail for a couple of years now, is seemingly actually Jinder himself. Strangerer and Strangerer.

The best Jinder cover is "Allways On my mind".
I have no problem with the songs on the site in quality at all, I just am a bit tired of them and they don`t invite me in as a listener.

Pretty much the same as Mart really.

Good songs, good versions... but I don't really get the point.

Standard covers, done well but still just standard covers.

Not a good idea at this stage in the career... more "available for weddings and christenings" than "gonna be a star".

I gather it's very much a side project, according to his blog it was done "for shits and giggles" so I don't think we can expect any kind of world domination attempt off the back of it I guess I'm a little blinkered as a long time fan, but I did enjoy Vincent, that's a song that I haven't heard done by a contemporary artist for ages.

I'm thinking of heading down to The Half Moon in Putney on 28th June to see him solo, anyone fancy joining me? Derrin Nauendorf is on too I believe, I haven't seen him for ages but he's a must-see... check out http://www.myspace.com/derrinnauendorf and have a listen to Universe Demands and Shipwrecked. It's a wonder he hasn't cracked the big league yet, he's an astounding live act. Bob Harris seems to love him, but it hasn't seemed to have led to any big-picture progress. I saw him solo at The Boardwalk in Sheffield a couple of years ago and he was blinding, I think he's touring with a band in tow this time too.
