George, Roy, Tom Petty, Dylan and Jeff Lynne - WHAT A LINEUP!!!

If this isn't the biggest DVD of the year I'll be surprised.

Question - could it be that George was actually the musically most talented Beatle?

Yes , I would say he was certainly the best musician, but any great act needs the "fix it" attitude of John, the "what I want to hear is.." attitude of Paul and the "get on with it" attitude and personality of Ringo.

Arguably, the best popular songs are not written by the best musicians, but fixed and polished by them.

The other George, (George Martin) was of course the best musician in the band at all times though and I don`t think he could ever be discounted as a band member just because he was not considered in the whole image.
Interesting to think that these days, he may well have been photographed with them .

Judging by Amazon pre-sales chart position -its No 4, this the biggest selling catalogue item for 2007.Funny Haven't I read recently that Warner/Rhino have made all the UK Catalogue folk redundant?

A source tells us... it's now No1 on Amazon, the first time this year for a catalogue pre release, they have now used up their entire stock (see the Add To Basket button has gone) and they reckon they will ship 60,000 and sell 200,000 by Christmas!

With reference to your trip to the theatre, I noticed some cracking productions in London a couple of weeks ago not least "The Glass Menagerie", which I shall definitely be giving a whirl. Great to see such a growing interest in live theatre.

i heard about the Wilbury's too, they are re releasing material; The single, Handle with Care 28th May, and Box Set coming out on June 12th.
