FAB Chart latest 18 Years ago
Good on Rob for staying at the top despite the colder weather. Also, Mart "It's a Sunny Day" Kitcher defies the clouded skies to climb into the top three.

Powerlight now have two songs in the chart, although their new one is my favourite. A big summer hit?

Gaz Ryan has a cool mellow sound at 17.

Orbiting Freakshow Orchestra have a very retro sound at 19. It does remind me a bit of something off Dark Side Of The Moon - but not quite in the same class.

Also good to see the Motors still climbing, plus Mark Ellis with his Fair Isle song.

Another cool chart from the Fabbers.

Whilst on the Warner Brothers teaser near this thread , there is more than a huge clue as to the error left on Robs song.
I`m glad people like Shandy Bass still.
Love Powerlight and The Rubettes.

Weird and pointless question ... 18 Years ago
One of those things that enter the brain in it's most idle moments ....

... in the new FAB Chart title picture, is the boy blowing the words out of his megaphone or sucking them in?

Big End

Re:FAB Chart latest 18 Years ago
Hey Mart, "Shandy Bass" has really grown on me...bit of a slow burn for the summer there I think.

Which is a blessing in disguise Big End, as the aggregater has issued the next two releases in the wrong order!
"Shandy" is now the follow up to "Live Like Dynamite!", which came out this week, or rather slipped through the net.
You have to laugh!

An accidental sleeping hit we hope!

Gaz Ryan didn't grab me, too far too long to do nothing in particular (Somebody has been listening to Wonderwall)

Orbiting Freakshow Orchestra - one of those songs that I feel like I've heard before, lots of times and done better. It is Dark Side derivative - too much so.

Powerlight... not for me.

Oh course the invalid Mart and Rob being there is wonderful

BTW - I can't bring myself to endure Airport.... so what is the error thingy?

Oh... forgot to add that Mark Ellis is really growing on me, one of those songs I liked first off and getting to like it more.

Would be interested to hear more tracks.

ETA. followed the FabMag links, listened to more, erm... Oh dear

Zooloo .. in the FAB Mag there is a link to Mark Ellis' web page with quite a few of his other songs on it.

Can't see any Wonderwall in the Gaz Ryan song maybe it's just your ears

Ok , here`s the wonderful Uncle Rob`s error revealed...

He gets very jolly when recording and snaps his fingers a lot at the end of every bar habitually, which can be infuriating when trying to get a clean honest eccentric recording.
The first finger click after the first sung bar, is audible, as he clicked right over the vocal mic and it has not been edited out.
i.e "Summertime is here again(click)!"
Not a major error, but an amusing one.
Whilst on the subject of clicks on records, has anyone ever worked out the timing of John Bonhams clicks on "Black Dog"?

The Wonderwall thing is unfair and may be the wrong song anyway... it's a short bit of his vocal that's reminds me of this other undermined song.

I listened to a couple of Mark Ellis's tracks, apart from the player playing up a bit I didn't think much at all of the couple I listened to. Cheers for the pointer anyway.

Oh... wrong record No 2, Mart, I though it was on Airport... didn't notice Rob's click anyway, probably would now
