Any one rememeber Ed Case? he was the brilliant producer behind The fantastic chart version of the Gorillaz Clint Eastwood, won 3 Mercury awards for it and then went on to release a prolific and well respected album on Sony/Columbia featuring Skin, Ms Dynamite, Sean Escoffrey and many more.

Well his back in a BIG WAY, Ed has just co written the 1st single from KT Tunshills new album, due for release very soon and it's a killer! He will also be releasing a collaberation with reknowned UK underground singer Oggie called All I Wanna Do which is a classic testamony to well produced UK pop, the song has just recieved a 5 star review in DJ Mag and is due out in early August, you will not believe your ears. To here it 1st go to myspace.com/oggieuk

If you're going to plug shamelessly, wouldn't it be an idea to get KT's surname right?

I liked "Sunny Day" and "Deep" caught my ear because of the classic (Mcfadden and Whitehead?)sample.
Oddly enough I didn`t really go for "All I Wanna Do".
Nice chilled out stuff, much more enjoyable if it`s sunny of course!

Ello mate, my apoligies for spelling KT's name wrong, i'm a bit suprised by why your so upset by an artist who is not supported by a major or management using the tipsheet as all other promoters and bands do to make influental people in the music industry aware of there music, but I guess it takes all sorts and no offence taken!

If you would like Quality Control to send you a copy of the OFFICIAL press release and a promo of the single please contact jo@rushrelease.com

It is a place to tip - that's what JK put it here for.

I think the "blatant plug" thing was being sarcastic.

But there is a valid point, spelling people's names right and spelling in general* do matter wherever you go.

Is it important? Is your music/post important?

Good luck with the songs.

* apoligies, your, suprised, influental, there.

I actually like Oggie's tracks and his voice is very much like Michael Jackson who in my opinion has one of the nicest voices in music history. But there is only one MJ.

Nevertheless kudos for posting a UKG track on tipsheet. I think the UK music industry especially the majors cocked up what is a genuine UK urban genre which is 100 times better than the rubbish copycat genres of UK hip hop and R&B. Also Garage is the ONLY truly multicultural music genre in the UK not split by racial lines. The music mattered. Garage is making a comeback and for all of you junior a&r at major labels take notice coz if you sign one or 2 successful acts your value increases.

However i must pull you up on your spelling mate, proof read your messages and thankfully you can edit it so go in and correct the grammar because i am sure your bosses won't be impressed if they saw the spelling mistakes. But i like the track and i like his voice.

For an "underground" artist, Oggie is remarkably, um, mainstream. I presume what we hear on the MS page are the radio mixes. It really is too chilled for me as well, but that could well be the mixer's attempt to fit in to the radio format. I'd rather hear a ballsy thrash. The little bit of bubbly bass hardly makes it Garage.

Still, I look forward to hearing Ed Case + KT.

PS: Nothing wrong with tipping, btw.

I think All I Wanna Do is a great song & Ed Case is a talented producer who should have another major backed album out. I know what you mean about saying Oggie sounds 'poppy' but he has a great voice despite this.

Also UK Garage is getting stronger day by day, check out The Midnight Circus (who include ex-Artful Dodger Pete Devereux in their line up) www.myspace.com/themidnightcircus, trust me the majors are sniffing around these guys!
