I was going through some boxes and find some old programmes, ticket stubs and T-shirts. Of gigs I have attended to, I don't bother with programmes now they are too expensive and they now skinny booklets.

I saw my Donovan ticket stub and a flashback. I saw Donovan in 2015, the gig was very good and I love to see him in concert again if he toured near me.

However seeing him lip synching whilst doing a odd dance to a Mellow Yellow backing track was very, very odd. The audience was just puzzled and confused. Either sing Mellow Yellow or do an instrumental and get the old, aged hippies to sing it or just drop it from your set.

I read his autobiography also when as soon it was published and even his own ego can't fill a book up. My friend to a BBQ and Donovan was a friend to the host and he had no idea he was eating, drinking and talking to Donovan. Until he bought out his guitar and gave away a copy of his book at the end of the night.

Why couldn't he sing Mellow Yellow? It is the simplest ever. I suppose you have to be a bit aware of the phrasing around "cup overfill" but other than that you could sing it while sleeping.

Who would want to? One of his worst. I blame Mickey Most. Catch The Wind was lovely, if a bit Dylan.

I like most of his albums and song but I agree with Mellow Yellow. It's pretty much the only one I skip, 7 Tease I think is one his best his best albums and it's so much like John Denver.
