How about these songs then? 17 Years, 8 Months ago
Hi Jonathan, You mentioned in one of your posts about liking "Off the wall" songs!

I hope you will give these a listen as I change the songs on my Myspace page regularly and this month especially chose the least catagorisable (I thnk I've just invented a new word:-)songs from my catalogue!

I hope you like them and just in case anyone else does too I'm still actively looking for a publishing deal!

All the very best

Not bad though I'm not sure about "laughter" rhyming with "after"!

Good stuff.
I hear a Lightening Seeds and Lilac Time fan here!

If you read further on this page somewhere, there is a little piece about the flow of albums I did, the songs have that same sort of air about them that I was hinting at in that short post.
Good potential shown and not worried about taking a lyric close to the "chringe factor", which is allways a fine line and worth sitting exactly on to attract attention.

(Was it Gabrielle who sang "I have never seen a ghost , Id rather have some toast?, she sat on the edge, she fell into the bucket below)

Very good work displayed here, not for everyone though, but I don`t think that was expected yet.

Hi Mart,

As far as the Lightning Seeds go you are spot on (although I was going long before them:-)but have never heard of Lilac Time!!! (Am I missing something there?)

Couldn't find the thread you mentioned about the albums you were involved in, sorry!!!!!

These are NOT my BEST songs just the most "Off The Wall" ones

The music I like to listen too is NOT like the music I write and perform at all!

I LOVE The Polyphonic Spree & The Arcade Fire + Mika.

The bands from my past are The Alan Parsons Project, Camel, and my all time music heros Jim "Skafish" (TheGodfather of US punk and Mike "Womble" Batt)both of whom are now Myspace friends which is a bit surreal after all these years!!!!

All the very best

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your comment although I think it's quite a good rhyme:-)!

Have been looking at some of your videos.

I knew you were behind many hits under loads of different names but had no idea you were behind the "Piglets" & "hedgehogs annonymous" GREAT songs!!!

BUT I have been searching desperately to find my favourite which I know you WERE behind!!

Was or IS there ever a video of Loop di Love by Shag?

I LOVED that song!!!

All the very best

Gary;
The Lilac Time("You`ve Got To Love" is brill) were and I believe, are, again, Steven Duffys band, hits before that as Tin Tin , Steven Tin Tin Duffy("Kiss Me",was my fave) and latterly working with R.Williams I think, but thats pushing my recent memory a bit.
I could google it, but I don`t like to cheat!
Jk`s 2nd best ever song(in my opinion) has not been a hit yet, check out "Caravaggio" from the new one.

That's a very surreal sentence! "I was Shag" is not a term you hear every day:-)

Aah, the Lilac Time, "The Girl Who Waves At Trains" was a wonderful track.

I first heard that on Simon Bates' show on Radio One but he didn't say who it was, so I phoned the station and got them to check his playlist so they could tell me. Then I had to convince my local record shop to order it for me.

I still have it on vinyl. A treasured posession.
