I think the days of Island Records and Trojan are desperately needed. There is a lot of talent out there, a lot of money to be made and a lot of music to be sold even on downloads.

Come on record labels pull your finger out !
Why hasn't this guy been signed ?

Link doesn't work, but I put the http in front and found the track. I like it, and I suspect this guy would sell albums more than singles. A cool slice of Soul Jazz.

Ola's been around for years, he must be pushing 50...he was actually signed (with Elektra) many years ago but was dropped before the album was released. His frustration with the industry led him to set up his own label...and he's been doing pretty nicely actually...

For what it's worth, I think he's got a great voice but the material is all a bit too smooth jazz for my liking...though he's great live (even if the audience usually looks handpicked from SAGA magazine!).
