Industry veteran plugger and ex-Beatles aide died in the last few days aged 78 (not 81 as some uninformed USA forums have stated). He was a character, very well known in radio circles. Tony lived an full life, he certainly got about from the early 1960s almost till the end.

He fell ill earlier this year and his condition deteriorated badly recently.

Yes thanks for this Liam - I put my thread on Your Views because Tony was more a personal friend than an industry figure for me. And sadly, people no longer seem to comment on here about old industry figures - or new ones, come to that - as the Industry has declined into a less human business (as indeed has society and humanity).
